JEE Advanced 2025: Introduction

JEE Advanced 2025, India’s toughest engineering entrance exam, is going to be held on 18 May 2025. Lakhs of students have to give this exam for admission in IITs. Exam will be held in shifts: Paper 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 from 2:30 to 5:30 in the afternoon. Exam Day Checklist: What to Carry?

Required Documents:

  • Printed JEE Advanced 2025 Admit Card (without admit card entry is not available)
  • Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, School/College ID)
  • Pens, pencils, eraser (simple stationery)
  • Transparent water bottle

Allowed Items:

  • Only basic stationery (pen, pencil, eraser)
  • Transparent water bottle

Not Allowed:

  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, headphones
  • Bags, books, notes, wallets, goggles, camera
  • Any printed/handwritten paper, log tables, writing pads, geometry boxes

JEE Advanced 2025 dress code: what to wear?

Simple and comfortable clothes:

  • Light-coloured, half-sleeved clothes are best.
  • No big buttons, no metallic items (rings, bracelet, earrings, nose pin, chain, pendant, badge, brooch)
  • No religious items like taweez, charm, etc.

Footwear:

• Wearing slippers or sandals, shoes and closed footwear are not allowed

Avoid accessories:

• No jewellery, no caps, no jackets (unless there is medical reason and permission)

Reporting Time & Exam Centre Guidelines

  • Reach the exam center at least 1 hour before – gates will open from 7 am.
  • Entry will be available only after showing admit card and valid ID.
  • Take only allowed items in the exam hall, you may spend time in frisking – hence wear simple clothes.
  • Read the instructions carefully – follow the question paper and centre’s guidelines.

Exam Day Do’s & Don’ts

Do’s:

  • Don’t forget to carry the admit card and ID
  • Reach on time, avoid rush
  • Wear simple, metallic-free clothes
  • Carry only allowed stationery

Don’ts:

  • Do not carry electronic gadgets, bags, books, notes at all.
  • Do not try malpractice or cheating – strict action may be taken
  • Do not wear jackets, caps, sunglasses in the exam hall.
